Overview: Locating Financial Aid & Other Sources of Funding Your Education
Stanford provides information and resources to assist students and their families in locating financial aid and other sources of funds to help finance their education. Eligibility is based on financial need. Financial aid funds are applied to the University bill when appropriate.
Sources of funding may include:
- Loans from federal sources (i.e. Perkins, Stafford, and PLUS loans)
- Loans from individual lenders
- Scholarships and Grants from:
- Federal agencies
- State agencies
- Stanford University
- Outside Private organizations
- Federal Work-Study Programs
- Student Employment
- Graduate Assistantships and Fellowships
